Technical Part {ITI (Electrician Trade) :
1. Occupational Safety & Health:
Basic safety introduction, Personal Protection, Basic injury prevention, basic first aid, hazard identification and avoidance, safety signs for danger, Warning, caution & personal safety messages. Use of Fire extinguishers
2. Fundamental of Electricity :
Fundamental terms definition, units & effects of electric current. Types of Resistors. Different types of insulators, Voltage Grades-Low, Medium & High voltages Ohm’s Law- Simple Electrical circuits & simple numerical problems
3. Alternator Current:
Difference between Alternator Current (AC) & Direct Current (DC), Line & phase voltage, current & power in 3-phase circuits with balance & unbalanced load
4. Earthing: Principle of different methods of earthing i.e. pipe, plate etc. importance of Earthing Basic knowledge of Ammeter, Voltmeter, ohm-meter, energy meter
5. Transformers: Types of Transformers (Power & Distribution Transformer) General idea about overhead transmission, distribution (Low voltage, Medium Voltage & High Voltage)
6. Sub-Station Equipment : Basic knowledge of Switchgears like Circuit Breakers (CBs), Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), Oil Circuit Breakers (OCB)
